Dr. Bill Holvik, class of 1980, has been selected as the 2010 Alumnus-of-the-Year and was honored at the Alumni Dinner February 26th, 2011. Bill is the son of Vic and Lil Holvik who many Orland residents remember as owners of Holvik’s Dairy. At OHS, Bill was a CSF Seal Bearer, all league and all section center in football, two time all league and all section champion in wrestling, and honorable mention catcher in baseball. He was the 1980 OHS Outstanding Senior Athlete. He earned a BS degree in Biological Sciences from U.C. Davis in 1985 and an MD degree from the Chicago Medical School in 1990. He completed the UC San Diego Family Medicine Residency Program and became board certified in Family Medicine in 1993. He is currently the sole proprietor and a full time physician for the Holvik Family Health Center in Visalia and medical director and physician owner of Immediate Care Center in Visalia. He is a generous supporter of the OHS Wrestling Program in terms of financial support and volunteer medical assistance and is the team physician for the El Diamante high school football team in Visalia.
